Jochen joined Earlybird in 2023 and is based in the Berlin office. He brings over 15 years of experience in the financial sector.

Before joining Earlybird, Jochen was CFO at Aquila Capital, overseeing the BaFin-regulated Aquila Capital Investment business unit and Aquila Capital Growth. Prior to this, he led Finance Operations & Group Structures, focusing on transactions, restructuring, and accounting, while also transitioning the team to Financial Data Management. Jochen has also served as CFO at Mellow Boards GmbH and began his financial career at KPMG AG WPG, specializing in auditing and financial services.

Jochen is a Certified Public Accountant (2016) and a Certified Tax Advisor (2014). He holds a diploma in business administration from the Universities of Osnabrück and Hamburg, with a focus on Banking, International Taxation, and Auditing.
