Umberto joined Earlybird in 2026 and is based in the London office, where he focuses on early-stage investments in technology startups.
Prior to Earlybird, Umberto gained experience across private equity and early-stage ventures, building a foundation in investment analysis and company building. Throughout his career he has developed a strong interest in AI, fintech, and deep tech, with hands-on exposure to investment analysis and company building from an early stage.
Umberto holds a BSc in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the London School of Economics and an MSc in Social Data Science from the University of Oxford, becoming a published author.
Outside of investing, Umberto founded United Italian Societies, a non-profit organisation supporting Italian university students across the world.
