Tim joined Earlybird's Berlin office in 2018 to especially expand on the fund’s coverage in Fintech and Web3. Today, he serves on the boards of several high-profile companies, including Upvest, Hive Tech, finmid, Flanks and M^Zero Labs.
Before joining Earlybird, Tim founded a European crypto exchange, serving as its CEO for several years. He also worked as a CFO in Asia for a social gaming venture and gained experience in the Investment Banking Division (M&A) at Jefferies & Company. Tim began his career in financial consultancy, working on various projects with mid-sized German electrical engineering firms.
He studied International Business at the University of Maastricht and holds an MSc in Finance from the University of St Andrews.
