GOURMEY is the first cultured meat company in France and one of the few pioneers in Europe. Their mission is to accelerate the world’s transition toward ethical, sustainable, and healthy meat by harvesting it from animal cells. The company creates sustainable restaurant-grade meats directly from real animal cells with a significantly reduced impact on the environment. Founded in 2019 by CEO Nicolas Morin-Forest (ex-L’Oréal), CTO Dr. Victor Sayous, Ph.D. in molecular biology, and CSO Antoine Davydoff, cell biologist, the company is now a team of 40 world-class scientists and engineers in the fields of gastronomic and food sciences, bioprocess engineering as well as stem cell biology. Post-Series A, they will open a 37,000-square-foot commercial production facility to fast-track commercialization globally as well as a food innovation center in Paris, France. They will also triple their team and expand their meat product portfolio with exciting upcoming announcements.
